More and more people are deciding not to go abroad for their holidays this year, but are instead choosing to stay at home and avoid the cost and stress of travelling. The credit crunch has affected a lot of people and many are finding that they are short of money to spend on luxuries such as holidays. The recession combined with the current strength of the euro against the pound, means it’s really not surprising that the number of UK holidaymakers booking their holidays at traditionally popular European destinations like Spain and Portugal has plummeted.
